Steven Baerg is a Board Certified Professional Christian
Counselor, author, and speaker
with a passion for sharing God's principles for healing the heart and mind. He
inspires participants to live beyond the average with a grand perspective on
God's unique and passionate calling for each person. He effectively teaches
plain practical tools for living fully with greater, joy, peace, confidence,
passion and purpose.
He blends professional expertise with personal experience
of both the dark passages and the joyful successes of a life in the process of
being fully lived. Having been
guided by God’s incredible mercy beyond the agony of finding life no longer
worth the pain, his foundation is Christ. He
looked for a solution to the question of God’s trustworthiness after holding
his younger brother’s hand, as it grew cold.
Having only God to lean on after a divorce, he has been a first hand
witness to the power of a God given second chance. With these life lessons, he has developed a compassion for
those who are hurting and a dogged determination to live beyond the hopelessness
and fear that can seem to overshadow any joy in life and push people to drop
away.
His training and professional experience have helped him
develop a set of clear practical tools to create meaningful change in our
thoughts, feelings, and actions. Drawing
heavily from the cognitive framework, he emphasizes the incredible power our
thoughts and beliefs have in shaping our feelings and lives. He builds from the Biblical foundation of “as a man thinks
in his heart so is he” to offer tools anyone can learn to daily build their
thoughts into the amazing life God designed them to live. Finding Christ the center of his personal successes over
anxiety and depression, has lead him to complete a course in Biblical counseling
and earn a Christian counseling credential.
Additionally, he has earned both bachelors and masters degrees in Social
Work as well as being licensed as a mental health professional in the state of
Arizona.
